Wadup my non-lethal, and also psychotic fanlings, here is the fifteenth entry. But lets first check the virtual mail box of convenience…cos’ who doesn’t like mail

…I didn’t…I didn’t know that…um…didn’t see that coming

Jess Townsend- Sorry for not replying to your comment before (it was due to timing, sorry), that’s not usually like me

And will my entries be seen in the future—Of course. Why, well I like to think that I’ll become the biggest thing since buttered toast

Okay, maybe Im being too egotistical, but it is likely that my blog will be seen in the future. By which methods, who knows…

Oliver Smith- Okay, even though you may have had a bad day when writing on my last entry, Im glad you like my Blog. Hope you stay on as a fan in the future, so that eventually I will have a fan army large enough to STOP THE MARTIANS!

Nah, but seriously, hope you keep on as a fan

Shelly Hayes- Thanx for defending me back then, but everything has been resolved now, so…thanx for defending me, but we’re okay. I also guess its shown have great a fan you are :)

Okay, now that I’ve checked my mail equivalents of useless ads (Fan Abuse FTW), lets move onto the entry at hand…which is the second part of my Doctor Who entries, dealing with the second Doctor :D

Ahh, the 2nd doctor…he was a great improvement over his predecessor, played by the common character actor, Patrick Troughton (again, you won’t know him…in fact, that goes for every Doctor, just for clarification). While the 1st Doctor was a grandfather-ly figure who always seemed to an intellectual superior to all, the 2nd Doctor was making the transition to eccentric uncle, and though he kept his major intelligence, he was more willing to take a pro-active role in events (due to his younger age). But possibly the greatest phrase to describe him is this

He was a cosmic hobo

And no, not like…

No, he was just kinda…different, which would be built upon by later incarnations (most popularly the 4th doctor). He was a welcome breath of fresh air to fans, and by this stage in doctor who history, it looked like the show had a future, which must have been invigorating back then…

Okay, that last sentence seems to smart…even for one such as me (I mind-rape you all)

His true personality was that of a clown almost; he almost always seemed to act childish in a situation (like his keen use in the recorder…as in the instrument…F**k it, I’d rather call it a flute, its more common), but it was clear to most of his companions that behind this behaviour lay a hidden intelligence. This allowed him to play situations into his favour, and it added a kindness that allowed him to relate to all his companions. Yet beside this, he later developed a dark streak of ruthlessness, particularly against known enemies like the cybermen and Daleks. For example, he-

-Made sure that a group of weaponless Daleks on a ship would all die

-Sent an Ice Warrior (Martian lizards, basically…we could learn to kill Martians from the Doctor) fleet into the sun

0.0

This was the first real development of the Doctor’s dark side, and it was known to both scare and alienate his companions. And on that note, his multitude of companions were-

-Another Cockney…godammit, what’s with all the Cockneys

-A rich-ish B**ch

-A Scottish fellow

-An adult orphan…how does that work?

-And a young female scientist…but girls can’t be scientists…heh heh

Notably however, there are two people that need to be mentioned that the Doctor met on his travels. Firstly, was the Scottish fellow, Jamie McCrimmon

(That’s pure Scottish looks right there… :P)

This guy was one of the Doctors longest serving companions, but only in the sense that he met another of the doctors incarnations (the sixth Doctor…Im going to be dealing with him pretty soon…sigh)

He even died with the Doctor, killing some Cybermen on Marinus (I…know it’s a planet, but that’s it)

And the second person is possibly one of the Doctors most famous ‘companions’ ( I think he only started travelling later), Sir Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, or more commonly known as The Brigadier

This guy was kinda like the spiritual predecessor of Jack Harkness, and he certainly was popular in the same effect that he seemed cooler than the Doctor…Ehh he wins against the second Doctor, but that’s not really saying much…lol.

The Brigadier’s popped up in Doctor Who history more times then people have compared Takeshi’s Castle to Total Wipeout (makes Total Wipeout look like a playground), and for good reason; he was a great character, a prime English Military person, and who doesn’t like that. He also formed UNIT, which in a way was also a spiritual predecessor to Torchwood, though we’d only see more of UNIT in later years.

Bt3 though

The Second doctor’s life ended rather ironically when the Time Lords finally decided to take action against the Doctor jumping through history…at least they didn’t do it later, that would have been kinda r**arded. They were first planning on executing him (Killing the Doctor FTL >:( …FTL FTW :) ), but due to interference from the Celestial intervention agency (try saying that 5 times fast…actually you’d probably get it…dammit), he allowed to regenerate instead, however, he would be exiled on Earth in the 20th century (much to his bother). This paved the way for the Third Doctor and the omnibus-like stage of Doctor Who’s life, but I’ll save that for the third part in my tribute series.

On my list of Greatest Doctors, he comes in at-

He comes in at 8th, one better then Hartnell.

Like near every incarnation of the Doctor, it wasn’t that he was bad, that would be the opposite of who (who lol) he was, but it was just that most of his traits seem under developed compared to later incarnations, which you can’t really blame him for, but in my list, Im comparing performance without any issues, so…yeah, he comes in number 8. Sorry Patrick…

Ehh…I think he lost it during regeneration…its just not as effective

I first want to say that for my past and future Doctor who related entries, I want to give credit to Doctor Who Wiki for giving me information. I forgot to mention it last time (I’ll have to edit that), but it’s the thing that’s giving me all my confirmed information. Without it, I’d know C**p all about past Doctor Who, so I give my credit. Theres a link below if you want to check it out, which I’d suggest actually-

http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Doctor_Who_Wiki

As always, post a comment on what you thought of this entry and other things, because without your help, I wont be a great blogger…Im improving though, which is awesome

As Im writing this, I’d also like to say that Im making a new background for my Blogger page (because the dark blue is kinda boring), and that in a couple of weeks, im hoping to upload…but don’t think so soon, because its acting a complete b**ch…sigh

From The View Of The Onlooker- Wind

Windows Live Spaces
http://cid-fe92a95eabbaabb9.spaces.live.com/

(Insert Star trek ‘live long and prosper’ symbol (Seriously, everybody does it today)) my evil, yet somehow lovable, army of fans, heres shipping you the fourteenth entry. But as always, lets hear from employee comments…by which I mean fan comments. Im actually being serious here…you’re all working for me now. Your job, soldier in my elite army, hours, 9:am till 8:pm, pay, NONE! >:( , and finally a firm dental and retirement plan…because you actually need those in life.

Geof- Ooh…a willing employee/minion. Well…as you see above, the job specifications are there…so, you can start Monday, if everything goes that way. Okay, welcome to The Onlooker’s Army of FanMinions

:p

Nah, but seriously, thanx for the comment, they are my food source. Though, by start of my blog, do you mean-

-My first couple of entries, or

-That particular one

Its not an important, or big, issue, but Iam a little curious…George :p

Abby Lever- Really…you know, I actually think most of you fans have became predictable. For example

Louisah wants a wind entry (you got what you wanted, finally…I bet next you expect a pay of two coffees per day…the nerve)

And you seem to be turned on…a lot. A tip, men don’t like being told by women when their horny about other men…unless its them. Seriously, it either p**ses them off, or…something unusual. Sigh…let me guess…you probably want an entry or sex related things in the future…don’t you (and if not, then I PRAY to God I haven’t given you an idea)

Alrighty then, lets go on to Adventure by which I mean the long awaited entry on wind

Sigh…okay, I thought I’d only ever sink so low as to do an ENTIRE entry on Robert Pattinson, but this…is lower. Not because its worse (Robert…your just a girl magnet. By natures law, Men get angry at you easily)

Well, Im going to count this as a comment, so…

Robert Pattinson’s Action figure (with emo posing action)- You haven’t been on because…I just can’t be a*sed, and it is your fault because I say so…that’s why you’re an action figure…Neh nah neh neh nah :D)

But as I was saying, its not because its worse, its because…its wind. It’s F**king boring. I mean, who honestly gives a damn about the wind. The only time you ever pay attention to it is when it feels like being a jerk…specifically when it ruins your hair. For me, it only ever blew my hair when it was mosher style long, but thanks to having a nice spiky style now, Iam blessed without this curse. But for others (Namely you Louisah…you’re the only one who wanted this entry excessively), it apparently must be Satan’s evil fart gas, because lord knows it can’t be explained scientifically. But still, if you really want me to say, then I will-

There, that’s that part done and dusted. But there is still is more to do with it.

My biggest grudge against it is when you open a window, and then automatically all the heat is sucked out!… bull**ap. When I open a window, I want it to be slightly colder, not ice age level. Its just not fair…seriously >:(

Damn you, laws of physics (and possibly magic)

But uh…yeah, it seems for the common person, wind is just a nuisance…which I’d definitely agree on. But then you have to think that if there was no wind, life would be incredibly horrible…in fact, RP drew up a sketch of what the world would be like without wind-

Damnit Pattinson, that’s not what the world would be like without wind. Firstly, why is it called Pattinson ville, and second, why is it futuristic!?!

No…it can’t. You fail…completely. Though of course, I can’t do much worse then to turn you into an action figure (you don’t have genitals, ha), so I’ll just have to do this

There, take that…even if it was a little harsh

Bt3, though

We need wind, but don’t like it…ain’t that a bi**h. But Wind does have its better aspects, like for example…its one of the four elements. You know, wind, fire, water and earth…they’re awesome (fire especially), and thus, so is wind…rather ironically

Its also helped in making many things, like sails and windmills. Both wouldn’t work without wind…and hell’, just about everything would be affecting, so yeah…I think I’ll revoke that f*ck you to wind

Sorry :/

But I think that’ll finish up this entry now, because…well it’s wind. Its cr*p most of the time, but we need it, and have always needed it…and that’s all I can say about it. If it was disappointing, then…sorry, I guess. Maybe I’ll remake the entry when I need to again…maybe though

You know what…I take back that revoke. Wind, go f**k yourself…there, you all satisfied?

From The View Of The Onlooker- Scrubs Part 2- JD

Army salut my ever growing army of minions that I call my fans, here is the thirteenth entry. But lets check out the best set of comments I’ve been left so far.

plainolebob- Im glad. Honestly, it is a really great show, and even if you don’t wanna get into it, you can still watch it one evening when you’ve got nothing to do, because its really good (as you’ve obviously realized from my last entry…it should have been more obsessive L )

The Unwashed Mass- 'Everyone knows Tom Baker is the best Doctor'. While I'll admit Tom baker was a great Doctor (and exceptional actor), all I can say is...

That he may be first, or he may not

Andrew- Thanx for leaving a comment and becoming a follower, Andrew. I appreciate all the help I get :)

And as for your question, that depends. From the 1st Doctor (William Hartnell) to the 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy), it is all one conglomerate series referred to as the old series

The eighth Doctor only ever starred in a 1996 film, and naturally after that from the Ninth doctor to the present is referred to as the new series

Personally, I'd recommend the new series. While the old series was amazingly spectacular in production and story, the new series is just the same.

Plus, it’s easier to get into, due to today's acting and story. You dont need to know near anything about Doctor who to get into it, because in that sense, it keeps an aura of mystery about everything taking place, while still appearing blank, yet adventurous, naturally. You eventually find out facts about the doctor anyway over the series, so its perfect for beginners.

The first episode of the new series of the new series is titled Rose, and from there, you just need to watch every episode whenever you feel like it. See-

http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Series_1_(Doctor_Who)

In fact, heres part 1 of Rose from Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdlzgOxbl0Q

Hope I've helped enough

Louisah Megghan- So basically, I look like an old man.

Well, you look like a grapefruit…(silence)…you forced my hand. Sigh, I didn’t want to do that, but you brought it on yourself.

Abby Lever- Thanx for the compliment. I don’t get many too often, so thanx :D. And as career...well I don't know. Its a possibility, but I don't wanna worry about it now

Izziebobs- I didn’t know you and Abby were plant eaters…and you were a Garlic. No wonder you always smelt (lolDon’tHurtMelol). But I respect that, so good 4 you 2. Well, wind is next, so…yeah, just wait

Okay, now that Im done with that lets move on to part 2 of my scrub related entries, and focus on the titular character, J.D…or John Dorian, but really, J.D sounds awesome-er

Yeah, Im going to first say that J.D is awesome, plain and simple, and he’s one of the main reasons that fans watch the show. I think that’s mainly due to a kindred link, though (not to mention Zach Braff’s superior acting)

Think about it. While J.D has a personality that quite differs from ours (hes kinda feminine…don’t even say it), its his experiences and reactions to things in each season that makes us reflect on our own past and present decisions…and I guess I’ll have to tell you those experiences

Well, series 1, just like any other common series, introduced the other main characters of…

JD, Turk, Elliot, Carla, Dr Cox and Dr Kelso

Unfortunately, Janitor wasn’t a main character. That’s bull****

…And the story setting of Sacred Heart, so as you can imagine, Season 1 would have been used mostly to explore each character. But 2001 was a different time to right now (being that it was actually pretty good to me…but that’s besides the point), and instead of usual roundup of 13-16 episodes in one typical Tv show season today, back then, shows would get episodes in the twenties and thirties. Why, don’t know! Maybe people thought there was a revolution of shows back then, but who knows, its just one of those things

Back to the point, you’d expect the first couple of episode focusing on each character…which Bill Lawrence and his writing staff got half right. True, they’re were episodes focusing on each, but they always included JD, like for example an episode focusing on JD and Elliot (which is My bed banter and beyond…which has a lot of sex in it. Seriously, either the pay was really good, or people in they’re 20’s are really horny…possibly the latter, but it’s a good episode). Why, I mean, sure JD is the main character who even narrates (which is sorta rare for a show nowadays), but he could be made more minor in it. Ahh well…at least they were good, but I’ve explained far too much so far. They also had typical ‘themed’ episodes for Christmas and other things, which did sorta continue on into later seasons, but it was incredibly minor…

The JD of season 1 was optimistic and wanted to help people, but the cold, harsh reality of real hospitals challenged him and his friends each day, which is the perfect setting for development, when you think about it. Early on, we found that he and Turk shared a strong friendship since college, and as the season progressed, it too faced reality and ended up a lot stronger as a result. This similarly happened with Elliot (not the whole college part), but rather…

He wanted to get into her pants and shirt :p

Alright, it wasn’t exactly that, or it was more puppy love really, but uh…it’s the same thing to me. He did achieve it though, so awesome, but unfortunately it crumbles due to what I deem both characters being not matured enough. It would be many a seasons before they got back together permanently, which just pissed you off in the meantime. As for Carla, Dr Cox and Dr Kelso…well he gained a mother hen relationship with Carla (which was damaged at one point), he REALLY strived for a father relationship with Dr Cox (which is never truly achieved, even by Season 8), and Dr Kelso…hardly anything notable. He was the awkward teenage person that we’ve all probably been once in our lives, and personally I thought that this was pure genius on Lawrence’s part.

If you compare it to, say, Shameless or Misfits, I could relate more to a 22 year old who’s just trying to get his life in order than a group of kids who do drugs and have sex just as often as they eat. I mean, its just so unrealistic and stereotypical… seriously, F**k me did they get it wrong!

But Im really reaching off track here, back to the topic (or bt3, because I bet I’ll drift a lot in this comparison)

By the end of season 1, some secrets developed within the series (such as Dr Cox fancying Carla) were revealed by Jordan, Dr Cox’s ex-wife, and a total man-eater

(Okay, its from season 4, but then again, I can't find any appropriate season 1 pics)

And this led onto season 2 fluidly as the main characters encountered an awkward silence of sorts that only truly dies down half way through, so this led to a lot of backtracking that ultimately made season 2 like its predecessor, which left me disappointed slightly, but then again, Ill watch any episode. This in turn left JD acting virtually the same, and come to think of it, not much development was established in later seasons, so lets cut to when it gets technical, in season 6

(The Rabbit's his conscience, before you ask. At least his is better...mine's a Salmon covered in blood)

And apparently his appearance didn’t change either. Ehh, Im not complaining. But uh, Bt3

Flash forward 6 years into the future. By this time, Turk and Carla married and only just got a kid, Dr Cox (or Perry by now) and Jordan have had two children and gotten together not as a married couple, but just as a…not married couple who live together and have two children…um…

God bless FTW, it’s the ultimate backer-upper. Bt3 :/

But by far, the biggest changes in the season are that Elliot is engaged to an intern called Keith (I don’t want to say Bt3, but I don’t like the name Keith much. Just saying), and JD had a brief fling with another doctor named Kim (Ehh, not much to say about her), only to end up getting her pregnant :0 (Worse still, he only found out 6 months or so later)

At first, JD merely showed his negative traits (being self-protective, dismissive, and ignorant), but after some ‘encouragement’ from his friends, he decides to be there for Kim, even though he doesn’t love her…

This in turn causes JD to mature from a very needy, self-jeopardizing, childish person into a… exact copy, just only less for each, which isn’t a bad thing. He does end up coming through for Kim during her delivery, and when his son Sam is born, they decide to break off there flimsy linked relationship

But this too causes further development for JD in season 7, who starts to mature into a father figure just as Turk and Dr Cox have, which brings a strange sense of pride to those of you who have watched the show since the first season…okay then, just me :p

(It makes me feel awesome-er)

But, this is where it decidedly ‘ends’ development-wise for JD, as Scrubs was ‘traded’ to ABC from NBC before season 8. You probably know nothing about the networks, but let me tell you now that

THEY SUCK!

Seriously, season 8 was poorly done in comparison to other seasons, and notably its like season 1 all over again for the characters, being that they go over things that have all ready happened. What…The…F**k! They really did not do Scrubs justice, and Im equally disappointed in NBC for trading it like an F**kin game card. It may have not been the most popular show on the network, but what they did I consider an offence to all major scrubs fans out there. It just goes to show (…heh, lol) how much they cared about it…sigh, Bt3

The only scrap-able bit of development worth noting is that JD finally got together with Elliot permanently, but even that seemed rushed and ‘un-polished’. But at least they got together… finally, you feel satisfied…took em’ long enough.

Now, zoom forward one year into season 9 (the latest season ;) ), and it turns out that he and Elliot have married, and he got his ‘seed’ in her (…you have to know what I mean >.>). That’s all well and good, but it’s a little too late, don’t you think. But, I don’t wanna tear it up anymore, so…I’ll leave it

Overview

JD is an amazing character, to put the record straight. Like I mentioned before, it’s probably due a common kindred, but it’s more then that. He’s funny, resourceful and a prime example of the common person, which gives the show its depth. His daydreams are pure works of comedic art, and the emotion given to him is just passion, which adds to the kindred in his acts to help. He’s a combination of childish fun, and deep understanding, which is just perfect

But that’s not say he has his negative traits. He can self-destructive, needy, and be a jerk some times, though it’s fair to say that you see less of these traits in time, and arguably the same can be said for his un-experienced ‘change-the-world’ attitude. Hes sharpened in this sense, and by the end, you realize that he’s made into an equal balance of each, which is needed for a doctor of his caliber. He’s great, simply put, and a personal inspiration to me on how I should drive my life.

That should about do it, and lets tally up the amount of Bt3’s…hmm, lets see here…

4 (including the one just sed)

Huh…would have thought it been more then that, but then again, I do need to explain things to you ‘normies’ now, don’t I

Post a comment on what you thought of the entry, the series, or just about anything (cos’ that’s basically what’s usually said, nowadays). Remember, only you can help make me a good blogger

From The View Of The Onlooker- Doctor Who

High five my perverted (aren’t we all) fans, here is the twelth entry of From The View Of The Onlooker. And as always, lets check the comment box of…

TRUTH!

Louisah Megghan- …is that even a comment, or at least a serious one. Well, you know what…I give up. I will devote an entire entry to wind, just to keep you quiet

ARE YOU HAPPY NOW

Abby Lever- Obviously Doctor Who would win, and as you’ve realized from this entry’s title, I basically gonna show you why by shoving a bunch of facts about it down you’re throat…yeah, Im a total who fan, deal with it

And now…DOCTOR WHO!

Yes, just like fish and chips, the queen and the good ol’ union jack (the flag, dammit), Doctor who is a symbol of Britain’s culture, showing that not only can we make the best goddamn sci-fi show in the world (Take that star trek nerds), but we can keep it running for 47 years with great material. Truly, it is an awesome show, and well…it has quite a history.

From the unearthly child to the end of time, it has broadcast too many episodes to count, and with them, 10 amazing doctors/actors. In commemoration of them, I will be doing an entry on each of them in my own fashion just to show you what each one was like, and because this type of entry would normally be short without something extra (I learned that on my scrubs entry), I’ll attach my entry on the first doctor with it.

BTW, if you don’t like it, then well, I guess you can shut the hell up!

Yeah, this was the first incarnation of the Doctor…an old man. Played by William Hartnell (I don’t know him either…just roll with it), he was vastly different from his latter regenerations

Primarily, he didn’t have the action hero persona of his later selves, he was more the brains behind it all, which is all you can expect really expect from an elderly man…HE’S OLD! Plus, instead of the friendly demeanour that was natural for his later incarnations, he rather had to earn it.

What I mean is that in the very first episode broadcast in 1963 (an unearthly child, if you didn’t already realize), he kidnaps 2 teachers, shocked (as in electricity…thank god its not perverted) one of them into unconsciousness, and even SMOKES…a pipe that is. Basically, he started as an ‘keep-to-yourself’ snappy scientist, but after a couple of seasons, he turned into a kind grandfather figure that you’d be comfortable around, and all around this, you have to give him some credit.

I mean, think about it. Crafting the identity of the doctor wouldn’t be easy, especially if this was the job description

‘Okay William, you play an alien who looks like an old man but isn’t really an old man, who travels around with a granddaughter who has absolutely near no ‘street’ experience and two dumbass teachers in a blue tele- I mean police box that can travel through the fabric of time and space, where in just about every episode you meet the scary reject excuses of muppets that either want to kill you or just act like a**holes to you’

I think if I heard that, I’d probably call the police on tha sucka’s. Seriously, it required effort, and to be honest, it would have seemed to have not made it back in the 1960’s, because it would have just been weird. How is it not weird?

And about his companions, well, he initially travelled with Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright (the teachers…I’ve really had to explain a lot, huh), and, Im honest to god here, his true granddaughter, Susan Foreman

Today, that wouldn’t happen so easily (just look at The Doctor’s Daughter…okay, the one with the blonde girl in it), so it’s sorta interesting. In the end however, she got dropped off at 22nd century Earth with some rebel freedom fighter, so unless we get a really nostalgic writer for Doctor who, then we’ll probably never see her again. He also had-

-A 25th century human

-A spaceship pilot

-A Trojan servant who thought the Doctor was Zeus (…uh, FTW)

-A Space Police officer…person

-A cockney…just a cockney

-Another cockney…but he was a sailor

-And a rich slut

And that’s about it a nutshell. But as you may not know, some of the more popular enemies were encountered quite unusually shortly. For example, the Daleks were introduced in the 2nd episode, and the cybermen were in his last, where he regenerates due to succumbing to old age.

Eh, sounds fair…and at least its unique (radiation always seems to be a main cause in Doctor death :[ ).

And even though im returning to the issue of his age (he’s OLD for gods sake), it is fair to mention that he developed ‘Hartnellisms’, though unintentionally. Want to know what one is, well take a look at these two quotes-

Scripted Version
‘Two burnt cinders floating around in Space’

Hartnell’s version
‘Two burnt cinders floating around in Spain’

Yeah, Im nit-pickey about mentioning it, but these Hartnellisms (or Billy-fluffs…I don’t know how that works) occurred quite a bit during his tenure, especially during his last days. You’d normally think that’s down to bad acting, but instead, its said that it was down to his degrading health. Either way, they were the source for much humour on set (…possible evidence that there were no true comedians at that time!), and few people hardly mention them today, but they worked to his advantage (cos’…old people can pronounce words right…I don’t know), are were true to his persona

Though he didn’t have near anything to work with, William Hartnell made a great doctor from what he had, and after watching some of his better episodes; he’s shown he definitely had the aura of a higher being from the start.

Though in order of who (loljokelol) is the best, I have constructed a list to properly judge them

Im going to update the list with every DW related entry, so…yeah. Bet you can’t wait, huh.

As I always say (like a parrot who just wants to p*ss you off), leave a comment about your opinion on…stuff, and feed me with nutritious, healthy comments. Only you can keep me alive-

Besides medicine, hygiene, exercise, and being happy…you still play a big role!
